Erin was born and raised in Point Loma. She graduated from University H.S in 1999.
In the fall of 99’ she went off to college at Colorado State University where she was a Human Development and Family studies major with an emphasis in Infancy and Early Childhood Development.
While in college, Erin worked in an early childhood center at the Colorado State Lab School as a teacher’s assistant. She enjoyed performing observational studies both objectively and subjectively with enrolled students (ages 3 to 4 1/2 years old). She also spent one year as an intern at a local elementary school in Ft. Collins where she was a teacher’s assistant for the Moderate Needs Special Education Program at the early childhood level.
In 2004, Erin earned her bachelor’s degree and made her way back to San Diego. In the fall of the same year, she found her home as a teacher’s assistant and substitute teacher at Sandy Hill. In fall of 2005, Sandy Hill was grateful to have Erin became one of our beloved pre-K teachers. In 2007, Erin became a full-time Sandy Hill teacher and we couldn’t be luckier to have her. In 2009 Erin married her long time sweetheart Mike Beauharnois.
Erin very much cherishes her time at Sandy Hill and we cherish her.
