Parent-Tot Program

Our Parent-Tot program offers an opportunity for children ages 18-36 months and their caregivers to experience a guided preview and introduction to preschool life at Sandy Hill. Class meets on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays from 9:15-10:45am. Our time together is filled with art, stories, songs, free and sensory play and snack. Parents will have the opportunity to discuss challenges, ask questions about their child’s development, acquire positive parenting tools, and problem solve specific situations with the help of the group under the guidance of a caring and knowledgable instructor.

Program Goals:

  • Offer a thoughtfully arranged, stimulating and safe environment for parents and children to play and connect. Our primary goal is to enjoy our time together and have fun!

  • Provide families with a comfortable first step into their Sandy Hill preschool experience

  • Help parents build/expand their support system and community network

  • Offer parents an opportunity to observe their child interacting with a teacher, other adults, and peers

  • Foster a more thorough understanding of appropriate developmental stages

  • Develop and adopt strategies to address behavioral challenges as well as tools to redirect behavior.

Parents are expected to stay for the duration of the class with their child.

Class will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the Tidepool classroom from 9:15-10:45.  Families may enroll in one or both days.

$100/month for Tuesday or Thursday
